December 20, 2002

Bleach

(Nashville, TN) - Award-winning, Tooth & Nail recording artist Bleach announces the We Are Tomorrow tour, its first significant headline tour in over three years. Named after the successful radio and video single by the same name, which peaked at No. 3 and remained on R&R's Christian Rock chart for 17 consecutive weeks, the 19-city major market tour will be in support of the band's critically acclaimed fourth album, Again, For The First Time , which released August 27. The tour will also feature Sparrow Records' newest rock sensation, Sanctus Real, as well as Tooth & Nail Records Holland for the first half of the tour.

Taking a diverse approach to venue selection, concerts have been scheduled in a variety of settings including high schools, colleges, clubs, and churches.

"This tour is all about the music of tomorrow, so we have worked really hard to make sure it is exactly that," states lead singer, Dave Baysinger." "With bands making an impact on both mainstream and Christian markets like never before, we have made our venue selection as diverse as possible so that we can bring great rock music and a positive message to people from all walks of life."

For select dates, Bleach will team up with various local, regional, and/or national artists in an effort to showcase local music scenes. Guitarist Sam Barnhart explains, "Something else we are doing for the first time is inviting local and regional bands to open for the tour." Local music scenes are a breeding ground for the music of tomorrow, so we wanted to give them the opportunity to come out and play."

Opening for Bleach on all tour dates is Sanctus Real, one of Sparrow Records' most sought after new bands. The band originally caught Sparrow Records' attention and was eventually signed to the label following its impressive win of Clear Channel WIOT- FM's "Best Band" contest. Sanctus Real beat out 75 other hopefuls to receive the top award from the station, one of Toledo's top commercial radio outlets. With over five years of touring and three independent records already to its credit, the Toledo, Ohio-based band teamed with producer Pete Stewart (TobyMac, Tait) to fine tune its brand of aggressive, melodic Rock and Roll for Say It Loud , the band's debut project on Sparrow Records. Set to release December 24, the album is already making a splash with fans and media alike. The title track from the project recently appeared in FOX Network's highly publicized new drama, John Doe.

Jars - Furthermore * From The Studio: From The Stage

December 20, 2002

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) - Multi-Platinum selling, multi-GRAMMY winning band Jars of Clay is set to release its fifth project, Furthermore - From The Studio: From The Stage , February 4, with Essential/Silvertone Records support through a comprehensive marketing campaign. The two-disc set features an acoustic disc, From The Studio, with 11 songs, including eight new arrangements of Jars of Clay favorites and three new songs. The second disc, From The Stage , offers 10 cuts recorded live on the successful, major market The Eleventh Hour Tour.

The multi-faceted marketing plan centers on simultaneous promotions at retail, radio, Internet, publicity and touring, including the Spring 2003 college-market tour with labelmate Caedmon's Call. The campaign will also further industry recognition through Jars of Clay's recent American Music Award nomination, its collaboration with several humanitarian causes, as well as the band's return to its creative roots for writing, arranging, recording and producing Furthermore From The Studio: From The Stage at its own Sputnik Studio in Franklin, Tenn.

Recently completing the Spring/Fall tour in support of its critically acclaimed March release, The Eleventh Hour, Jars of Clay embarks on a 40-plus city, college-market tour beginning February 12 in Grand Rapids and running nationwide through mid April. Already heralded by promoters as the "thinking man's pop tour," Jars of Clay will showcase acoustic versions of its favorite songs in support of Furthermore.

Jars of Clay fans currently have the opportunity to preview the band's applauded acoustic arrangements as Furthermore 's first single, "The Valley Song (Sing of Your Mercy)," released to AC and CHR radio last week (December 13). With 15 No. 1 singles to its credit, this year, the band's self-produced The Eleventh Hour has already garnered two No. 1 radio hits with "I Need You" and "Fly."

Essential Records plans to promote Furthermore to CBA retail through Spring catalog advertising at all major chains and regional stores, as well as support via Provident Viewscan and in-store play loops beginning in February. Merchandising for the album , including cross-promotions with Caedmon's Call's Back Home, will be supported by means of in-store signage. Additionally, an exclusive, CD sampler, featuring Jars of Clay and Caedmon's Call favorites, will be available free to Furthermore or Back Home buyers.

Jars of Clay will further be visible through its partnerships with several humanitarian causes, advocating such organizations as World Vision, DATA, Amnesty International and Open Doors International with Brother Andrew, as well as its continued compassion toward missions in China and the Zeldin Cancer Research Foundation.

Just as with the 1995 Double Platinum-selling, self-titled album, 2002 continues to mount considerable attention for Jars of Clay as the band returns to its creative eminence with The Eleventh Hour and Furthermore. Producing its first Pay-Per-View performance and The Eleventh Hour Live DVD, the success of the projects caught the attention of superstar Sheryl Crow who invited Jars of Clay to open at several of her concerts this year.

Jars of Clay was also honored with the July cover of Music Biz Magazine , as well as with profiles in Teen People, Entertainment Weekly , Spin, Rolling Stone, Details, People Magazine , USA Today and Newsweek. The band continues to garner significant television coverage, including recent and past features on such programs as The CBS Early Show, TV Guide Channel, The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, CNN's Music on the Road and Headline News , as well as spins on MTV and VH1.

Audio Adrenaline

Audio Adrenaline

 Biography

"I definitely think the world's spiritual pulse has been quickened lately," Mark shares "and the idea of worshipping God is definitely on the heart of a generation of believers. But this is not a worship record as much as it is about being in the presence of God. It's about what happens when we worship, and how others are affected by the beauty of worship."

Lift

When the members of Audio Adrenaline contemplate the events of the past couple of years, they recognize more than ever the true presence of God. Since the release of the band's last studio album, Underdog, time has brought forth new relationships (drummer Ben Cissell and guitarist Tyler Burkum each married), new life (bassist Will McGinniss welcomed the birth of his second child), new ventures (the formation of a band-owned record label) and the beginning of the group's eleventh year. In the midst of it all, Audio Adrenaline has continued to march onward into the next phase of life - and still loving every minute of it.

"Change definitely brings more challenges, but it also brings about a lot of stability," says vocalist Mark Stuart. "Life is about changing and going through different things. We learn more about God in our marriage, or by being a parent. It enriches and deepens our experiences with God, and it comes through in our music."

While it's true that Audio Adrenaline has sold more than 2 million units, recorded 15 #1 radio singles (including a CCM #1 Song of the Decade - "Big House"), garnered several Dove awards and three Grammy nominations, the group has just released what is undoubtedly one of its best efforts to date. The brand new release on ForeFront Records, Lift, is Audio Adrenaline's sixth studio project and has already generated a #1 single with its first release, "Beautiful." Lift is a musical collaboration that offers a cohesive mix of aggressive guitar pop/rock scattered throughout with some fresh, new twists and turns that seamlessly take the band outside the creative box.

"I feel like we've just made our best record," says Mark. "I feel like it has the potential to affect a lot of people in a positive way. This is more of an emotional, epic recording. This album really takes you right to the heart of it all, lyrically and musically."

The album's title focuses on the concept of lifting up the name of Jesus for the world to see, a natural overflow of a spirit of worship. "It's like the old saying - 'actions speak louder than words,'" Mark explains. "So many times we get in the way by trying to preach to someone about what God has done in our lives, when the most effective thing we could do is to just lift up the name of Jesus. When people see Jesus lifted up, they want to experience that. He's so beautiful, they immediately fall in love with him and want to get to know him."

It's a theme that runs through the entire album, but is effectively summed up in the title song. "Lift" talks about how focusing on Christ and lifting up the Lord makes all the cares of the world seem trivial.

A self-produced project, Lift is truly a collaborative effort, incorporating the talents of each band member on every song. Ben and Tyler joined in on the album's songwriting efforts more than ever before, and Tyler's vocals were a welcome addition to Mark's lead throughout the entire project. "We were able to use Tyler and Ben to their fullest capacity," Mark shares. "Tyler came to the table with a lot of material and was able to contribute to this record more than he ever has before. We were able to share the lead vocals back and forth a lot, which provides a great dynamic that many bands don't have. It adds so much to the emotion of a song, and it's a great combination we never had before."

From the opening strains of the anthemic "You Still Amaze Me" to the catchy hook of the project's first single, "Beautiful," Audio Adrenaline continues to emphasize living the Christian life with a passion that is evident to others." 'Beautiful' talks about how the beauty of Christ is so overwhelming that when we lift Him up, people will come running to see Him and get a glimpse of His glory," says Mark.

One of the album's most poignant songs, "Ocean Floor," steps outside of the project's musical and lyrical theme for a moment and contemplates God's grace. It reminds us of God's passion and that He has forgiven us so deeply that our sins are buried at the bottom of the ocean.

And touching on our own humanity as we stand before God to worship, the song "Tremble" talks again about God's grace in the midst of our unworthiness. "This is one of my favorite songs," Mark says. "It's about being in the presence of God and the dichotomy of feeling afraid, but being in awe of His grace and His bigness. The first verse talks about how I don't belong here standing in front of God - I'm filthy. But the second verse is about grace and how wonderful it is to know that God sees us through the blood of Christ."

While worship music continues to play such a prominent role within the industry, Lift is a reflection of what can happen when true worship is experienced, and the spiritual growth that overflows from that process.

"We all believe we were called to do this - not just to entertain, but to evangelize and to encourage," Mark says. "It's not just about a band, it's about a lifestyle. It's about kids relating to modern day Christianity, which is a lot different than just going to church. It's about showing them how we can live in and affect this culture, and still belong to God. There may come a time when what we're doing is redundant, but as long as God's favor is on us and we keep making records that bring people to the throne of God and into His presence, then we'll keep on going."
