December
20, 2002

(Nashville,
TN) - Award-winning, Tooth & Nail recording artist Bleach
announces the We Are Tomorrow tour, its first significant headline
tour in over three years. Named after the successful radio and
video single by the same name, which peaked at No. 3 and remained
on R&R's Christian Rock chart for 17 consecutive weeks, the
19-city major market tour will be in support of the band's
critically acclaimed fourth album, Again, For The First Time ,
which released August 27. The tour will also feature Sparrow
Records' newest rock sensation, Sanctus Real, as well as Tooth
& Nail Records Holland for the first half of the tour.
Launching January 9 in Bleach's hometown of Nashville, TN, the
tour will traverse the nation into numerous key markets, including
St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Austin, Houston, Tulsa, Dallas, Wichita,
Amarillo, Albuquerque, and Phoenix. Taking a diverse approach to
venue selection, concerts have been scheduled in a variety of
settings including high schools, colleges, clubs, and churches.
"This tour is all about the music of tomorrow, so we have
worked really hard to make sure it is exactly that," states
lead singer, Dave Baysinger." "With bands making an
impact on both mainstream and Christian markets like never before,
we have made our venue selection as diverse as possible so that we
can bring great rock music and a positive message to people from
all walks of life."
For select dates, Bleach will team up with various local,
regional, and/or national artists in an effort to showcase local
music scenes. Guitarist Sam Barnhart explains, "Something
else we are doing for the first time is inviting local and
regional bands to open for the tour." Local music scenes are
a breeding ground for the music of tomorrow, so we wanted to give
them the opportunity to come out and play."
Opening for Bleach on all tour dates is Sanctus Real, one of
Sparrow Records' most sought after new bands. The band originally
caught Sparrow Records' attention and was eventually signed to the
label following its impressive win of Clear Channel WIOT- FM's
"Best Band" contest. Sanctus Real beat out 75 other
hopefuls to receive the top award from the station, one of
Toledo's top commercial radio outlets. With over five years of
touring and three independent records already to its credit, the
Toledo, Ohio-based band teamed with producer Pete Stewart (TobyMac,
Tait) to fine tune its brand of aggressive, melodic Rock and Roll
for Say It Loud , the band's debut project on Sparrow Records. Set
to release December 24, the album is already making a splash with
fans and media alike. The title track from the project recently
appeared in FOX Network's highly publicized new drama, John Doe.
